- Workers keep fighting against intensifying social problems, unemployment, poverty, inequality and injustice.
- On the 1280th day of their picketing, Cargill workers, organised under Tek Gıda-İş Union, announced that they have received their union authorization. With their union, workers are preapering to bring their reinstatement demands to the collective bargaining table.
- Bel Karper workers, organised under Tek Gıda-İş, have put the boss on the back foot. Bel Karper administration agreed to start negotiations for collective bargaining. The strike will continue until the contract is signed.
- Adkotürk workers resolutely continue their strike.
- Doctors made press statements in many cities under the banner “No Health in 5 Minutes”. The death of doctor Rümeysa Berin Şen was also protested, who died in a traffic accident after 36-hour shift. Health workers expressed their reactions by shouting “tired doctors are dying, no 36-hour shifts!”
- DISK took actions in many cities and workplaces of Turkey to call for “We want to make a living; Justice in Taxes, Justice in Income”. During the protests, workers chanted “Budget for workers, not capital,” “Workers starving, then no peace for bosses!”
- At Middle East Technical University in Ankara, members of Tezkoop-İş Union are struggling to improve their working hours and receive their overtime pays.
- Workers at Gates Hose, HEBO Construction and Neo-Trend Textile keep resisting.
- Bakırköy Municipality workers, organised under Belediye-İş Union, went on strike on October 25 against the imposition of “zero wage raise”. Visiting the striking workers, UID-DER has strenghthened class solidarity and provided them with moral support.
