Workers’ Struggle Against High Cost of Living is Growing!

Faced with a devastating impoverishment, workers organize to raise their wages and improve their working conditions.
- Sunny Atmaca Computer workers, Alphindi workers, Gates Hose workers, ETIS Logistics workers, Euroserve workers subcontracted at the Philip Morris factory, Sütaş workers, Koton warehouse workers, Pulver Chemical workers and Asen Metal workers... Workers from different sectors across Turkey got unionised for their rights. Together with their unions, workers, who got fired for unionizing, are struggling to be reinstated to their jobs.
- In Tuzla, Istanbul, Police once more attacked the ETF Textile workers, who reclaim their usurped rights. Workers’ struggle keeps going.
- In Ankara, teachers from the Private Sector Teachers’ Union wanted to march to the Ministry of National Education to raise their demands. But the police attacked the teachers.
- Assistant doctors took action to demand “Equal Pay for Equal Work”.
- Workers from Afşin-Elbistan Lignites Coal Enterprise, Ceva Logistics workers at Amazon's warehouse in Gebze, glass workers from Kristal-İş union in Bursa, from Haber-İş Union Post and Telegraph Agency (PTT) workers across Turkey... They are all taking actions for their rights.
- At the Technomix factory in Bursa, workers from Türk Metal Union are on strike against the miserable wages.
- Atlas Denim workers in Adana and British American Tobacco workers in Samsun are fighting for their rights.
- Led by DİSK BTO-SEN union, workers from Ağaç A.Ş. protested the company for breaking its promises.
Their determined struggle brings victory to workers:
- In Manisa, Telateks Textile workers, who are unionized under DİSK Tekstil-İş, took action demanding an additional raise. The action resulted in gains.
- Home care workers from İzmir Municipality, Efe Rakı Distile factory workers, workers from the wholesale fruit and vegetable marketplace in İstanbul, miners from Soma Aegean Lignites...
They all fought and won.
