Mata Workers: "Enough with the Repression!"

In Tuzla, Istanbul, Mata Automotive employer ignored the demands of workers and ramped up repression. In response, workers downed tools. Unionised under Birleşik Metal-İş, workers demand wage raise and implementation of occupational safety measures.

Mata administration has refused the demands. It is ramping up the pressure. Mata administration hired 40 hoodlums to intimidate workers.

DISK, Birleşik Metal-İş and workers from various factories are supporting the strike. Labour organisations and UID-DER are also standing in solidarity with Mata workers.
