UID-DER Column in May Day

Although May Day was born out of the struggle for 8-hour working day, it acquired a much larger meaning long ago. It is the day of international unity, solidarity and struggle of the working class. In local offices of UID-DER, in union branch offices, in factories and other workplaces, in working class neighbourhoods… UID-DER believes this is the most efficient way of making May Day a meaningful day of struggle. This way, May Day rally becomes a final and strong link in the chain of activities regarding May Day. UID-DER column in the May Day march and rally has been and is a crowded, disciplined and vibrant one, with participation mostly from young workers and women.
